Welcome!
My name is Dirk Eckert. I was a studen at Rics from
September 1978 to summer 1983, 5th through 9th grade.
Presently, I live in Eschbach, Markgräflerland, Germany.
This site is meant to be a personal collection of
remembrances of my time as a student in Riyadh,
Saudi-Arabia. Some of the best friends I have were there
with me. On the other, it was not possible to keep contact
with everyone, so this site is to be some sort of a mark
within the web, curious if and who finds it. So if you do
and you were there, Please!! Leave your trace in the
guestbook or contact me via the contact link found on the
bottom of every page.
Just to note my favorite activity at Rics: BAND! Started
out on trumpet, then clarinet, got stuck with a Tuba, which
I still play today. For a long time with the Musikverein Iffezheim (summerbreak
in Germany 1982 until end of 2002), since fall of 2005
with the Musikverein Eschbach.
